A few things you may not know about me:
- I have a tattoo of the Chinese symbol for "spirit" on the back of my right hip.
- When I was about three or four I remember thinking I would grow up to be a boy.
- I hate wet bathroom floors.
- I was ashamed to say I worked in Payroll when I was put in charge of that department at a company in 2001 after 9/11. They gave me that job because there was no other job for me at the company. Never before have I been so aware of how I identify with my jobs.
- I have always hated how my legs look.
- I have had many moments where I feel like the awkward person with nothing to say, nothing to add.
- I hate bananas, yet I love banana bread.
- I wish I could travel through time to meet my grandparents when they were my age.
- The song Lovely Day by Bill Withers makes me cry.
- I spend more time by myself than most would think. And I like it. Sometimes.
- As a rule, I don't run for subway trains. I like to believe in a system that espouses frequency and convenience.
- I avoid crowded elevators.
- I am finally starting to feel a confidence in myself I have never, or rarely, before felt.
